After doing a complex or more dramatic tutorial on YouTube, I’m often asked how to remove the eye make up – or, more accurately, “how the hell did you get that off afterwards?!”. It’s actually very straightforward, and takes no time at all. There are three different methods I use, depending on how much make up I have on my eyes. The products I use are all by Simple, as they don’t irritate my eyes at all, and you know that there are extra added vitamins to care for your skin at the same time.
So, the three main products that I use: the Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, the Simple Radiance Brightening Eye Make Up Remover Pads and/or the Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make Up Remove.
The Cleansing Wipes (green packet!) are what I like to use after a particularly dark or dramatic look. They are very strong, and moist enough to work with the whole eye area. Even though the wipes are kind to your skin, they still get the job done, and all the make up is removed.
If the make up is slightly less dramatic, or I feel that the eye area is looking a little dull, I love using the Radiance Eye Make Up Remover Pads. They are just the right size for removing a semi-dramatic look, and I absolutely adore the look of the eye area afterwards. The thickness of the pads also mean you’ve got great control over what you remove, which means that you could easily leave some of the look on, e.g. mascara. This is something I sometimes do; if I’ve done a crazy look first thing in the morning for a video, I might remove everything but the mascara, which I can keep on throughout the day.
If I’m wearing a lighter look, I love the liquid Eye Make Up Remover from Simple. I pop a bit onto some cotton wool, wipe it across my eye and ta da! I LOVE the fact that is doesn’t contain oil, as I find I can get quite oily eyelids, so that’s a bonus!
