Review: The Brush Guard

When it comes to make up, there are several essentials: the products themselves, make up brushes and a method of cleaning them. However, I would like to throw another essential into the mix; after trying them out for a good couple of weeks, I can safely say that my brushes will never be without their Brush Guards!

The Brush Guard

I do apologise for the dodgy photos – my camera’s screen has broken and I never know what the photos are going to come out like!

I bought these little beauties from eBay a few weeks ago – the eBay store is called moor-4-u and the variety pack of 6 brush guards was just £5.50.

The Brush Guard

I am a great believer of looking after what you own, rather than constantly replacing your possessions when they become damaged. I loved the variety within the pack of Brush Guards, and knew that I could use them with my ultimate favourite and most essential brushes (until I decide to invest in another pack of guards for the others!)

The Brush Guard

Almost every brush, regardless of their quality and price, has a tendency for its bristles to end up splaying – never fun! Since I’ve been using the guards, my brushes have stayed in great shape with minimal splaying!

The Brush Guard

My only tiny complaint is that, occasionally, some of the bristles end up poking through the mesh. This could perhaps be solved with slightly tighter meshing – I don’t think this would affect the performance of the Brush Guards, other an obviously slightly enhancing them!

Overall I am thoroughly impressed, and would recommend them to anyone. I’m excited to see how the guards – and my brushes – fare over time, so I will keep you posted!

Do you use brush guards? What do you think of them?

Stay Creative,

I think I might try these out! When you invest in nice brushes it really pays to take care of them rather than constantly repurchasing! Thanks Chyaz x
