I always like to wear a nail polish for a day or so before I review it – if you read my Nail of the Day post yesterday you’ll know that the shade currently gracing my nails is the Models Own Nail Polish in Copper Pot!
This probably isn’t the kind of nail polish that I’d buy on its own, but it came in a set with 5 others from the Models Own website. I wanted to give it a chance so thought I’d try it out!
In the bottle, it looks to have a slight duo chrome feel to it – kind of different shades and hues of copper – but on the nails it’s just quite a metallic burnt orange.
That’s not necessarily a criticism though – I don’t own any similar colours of nail polish and it is quite a beautiful colour. I do think I would have LOVED it if it had more of a duo chrome on the nails, but it will work well as a fresh spring shade as it is.
I’ve been wearing it for around a day now and the polish is just starting to show signs of chipping – I didn’t actually use a top coat though, so this is fairly good going! The chips are only at the very edges and aren’t too noticeable.
I’ve been so, so impressed with the Models Own polishes I’ve tried out – they’re fast becoming one of my favourite brands!
Have you tried any of nail polishes from Models Own? Which do you love the most?
