Review: Models Own 3 in 1 Nail Polish

As I mentioned in my blog post yesterday, I’ve got one more Models Own review to do for you before I give it a bit of a rest!! In the set of 6 Models Own nail polishes that I bought from their website for £20, there was the Models Own 3 in 1 Base Coat, Top Coat and Gloss.

I’m usually quite faithful to my Barry M 3 in 1 polish, but I thought that it couldn’t hurt to try something new!

As a base coat, it worked really well – it gave a smooth base for my nail polish and I felt like it was protecting my nails from the colour itself.

As a gloss, again, it was great! Here’s a photo of how it made my nails look on top of the Pinky Brown Models Own shade:

Finally, as a top coat…hmm. I wasn’t the biggest fan of it – I found that my nails chipped after less than a day (which is weird, as on their own, the Models Own polishes don’t chip easily on me!). It is very possible that it was because I was super busy and out-and-about,  but I’d still hope that a top coat would give my nails a little more protection.

Overall, I think that this is a great product for £5, even if you just use it as a base coat. I would highly recommend it for that purpose!

Just a quick note – if there are any different types of blog posts that you’d like to see, please let me know in the comments below!

    I love your blog!
Over the last few weeks I’ve bought a lot of nailpolish.
We have Models Own in the Netherlands but it is realy expensive (in my opinion). Could you do a review of China Glaze nailpolish? I absolutely love their colours and I think their price and quality are good.
