How To: Get Easy Leopard Print Style Nails

If you follow me on pretty much any of my social networking sites, you’ll know that I have quite an advanced obsession with animal print, and leopard print in particular. To me, leopard print screams edgy-ness, style and femininity, and I truly believe my obsession will be lifelong. When Barry M released their Nail Effects Paint, firstly in black, the first colour I tried it with was gold, as it happened to be the colour on my nails already. To my delight, it created a gorgeous leopard print effect, and it’s been one of my favourite looks ever since. It’s super easy, so here’s how to achieve it!

Barry M Products for Leopard Nails

The photo above shows what you will need: The Barry M Nail Effects Paint in black, the Barry M Gold Paint (or any gold you have) and a topcoat – mine is also Barry M.

Step 1

Paint your nails with two coats of the gold nail polish. One coat looks a little washed out with this product, and the extra coat will give it that gorgeous gold sheen that will stand out below the black effect afterwards.

Step 2

Apply the Barry M Nail Effects Paint! if you haven’t used it, or a similar product, before, all you do is paint a thin sheet of the polish onto your whole nail. The polish then cracks, leaving the awesome effect behind!

Step 3

I like to seal it all together with a good top coat – this Barry M one doubles as a base coat, but I find that it causes the nail varnish on top to peel off easily in a kind of sheet…which isn’t what you want after spending time creating a cute look. It also gives the nails a glossy shine, which makes the effect look even better.

And it really is that easy! A cute leopard print style look in just a few minutes. I have had so many compliments whilst wearing this look from so many people, and when I tell them how simple it is they don’t believe me! If you’ve tried this out, let me know what you think – or let me know your favourite look to create with the Barry M Nail Effects paints!

Stay Creative,
