You all know that I’m not a big foundation wearer – I generally only use it on nights out and for special occasions. I had an occasion to wear it a few days ago and decided to try out my new Real Techniques Stippling Brush!
I usually use the super tiny MAC stippling brush, so that gave me a fairly good base to compare this one. It is bigger than the MAC brush but nowhere near as big as a ‘regular’ stippling brush (which I think are far too big anyway!)
I had quite a strange experience using this brush at first (or so I thought!) – I applied my foundation in quite bright sunlight and thought that I wasn’t getting a very good coverage with the brush. I did notice that quite bit of product sunk into the bristles and stayed there, so I was a bit confused at first…
However, when I decided to actually walk in to my bathroom and look at my skin under normal light…WOW! It looked absolutely flawless, perfectly blended and glowing. I think the light I was in at first was unforgiving, and it was only afterwards that I realised what a great job the brush had done.
This brush cost £11.99, which is very reasonable for a brush of such good quality. If you’ve missed my other posts about Real Techniques, the brushes have been designed by Sam Chapman from the awesome Pixiwoo on YouTube. I have now tried three of the brushes and to say I am impressed is an understatement!
If I could change anything about the brush, I would make it a tiny, tiny bit smaller – but that is completely just my personal preference for getting into the ‘nooks and crannies’ of the face. I like to have a lot of control over my foundation brush!
What do you think of the Real Techniques brushes?
