Review: Real Techniques Shading Brush

I’m firmly of the belief that good make up brushes can make the world of difference – I like to invest in and look after my brushes. I was thrilled when Sam from Pixiwoo announced that she was to launch her own brush line – Real Techniques!

I bought three of the brushes, and will be reviewing the Real Techniques Shading Brush today!

From the start, I loved the look of the brush – a purple handle can do no wrong in my opinion! The brush feels sturdy and good quality, which is really important in terms of working with and handling the brush.

I use eye make  up brushes far more than any others, so this one had a lot to  contend with! I used it to apply the gorgeous Gunmetal from Urban Decay in the outer corners of my eye and blended to a smoky finish. How did it work for me?

In a word – brilliantly! I really, thoroughly enjoyed using this brush. It took a little while for me to get going with it, but I think that was mostly due to me getting used to a new brush. It resulted in a gorgeously blended look with lovely smoky edges.

I think this brush is worth every penny of what I paid for it – £7.99. Well, technically, I got it free on a 3-for-2 offer at Boots, but I’d have happily paid the price! I will definitely be using this brush time and time again for my eye looks.

Have you used any of the Real Techniques brushes? How did you find them?

Stay Creative,
