Let’s hear it for super long blog post titles! This post is going to be a review of the Wet n Wild Ultimate Minerals Loose Eyeshadow in Graphite – another product sent to me by the wonderful Harriet1984 from YouTube!
I’ve only used a couple of these kinds of products before – they have a reputation for being a little messy so I like to use them in a different way to most people.
This product has a sponge tip applicator, which I tend to steer away from. I think that if you tap a little of the product out onto your hand then apply it with a brush it works best.
Here’s a little swatch:
I really liked the finish of this – it has some shimmer but it’s not overpowering so you could easily use it all over your eyelids. I also like the fact that it can blend out to quite a sheer finish, meaning that you can custom-build your coverage.
There’s naturally quite a bit of fallout with products like these but I try to not let it put me off. Keep a make up wipe handy and you should be fine!
The product has quite a silky, powdery finish which could put some people off but I don’t mind that kind of texture on my eyelids. It is absolutely essential to use a primer though – loose eyeshadows don’t last very well at all without one!
