Review: Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation

You know that feeling when you’re walking down the beauty aisle and you just can’t resist testing a product out? That happened to me today with the new Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation. I tried out the shade Light Ivory.

Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation

Apologies for using a stock image; I didn’t end up buying the foundation so I’m unable to take my own photograph of the bottle!

The idea of the foundation is that it is blended with air to give the lightest-feeling foundation coverage. I love the idea – I can’t stand the feeling of foundation on my skin, which is one reason I barely use it.

I used the pump to dispense some of the product onto the back of my hand, intending to cover just a stripe to show you the coverage. Unfortunately, such a huge amount comes out of the pump that it covered the whole back of my hand!

I actually thought the foundation looked really nice at first; my camera won’t pick it up, but after a little while it started to turn a nasty orange shade around the edges of the swatch. NOT a good look!

The foundation has quite a powdery finish to it, and your fingers do have some powder on them when swept across the blended product.

It is currently on offer in Superdrug for under £5, which makes it a bargain foundation. I probably wouldn’t use it myself, but it could match some other skin types better than mine (which is dry). Just make sure you blend it like crazy into your neck and hairline to avoid any unsightly foundation lines!

Have you used the Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation? What do you think of it?

Stay Creative,

I tried this in superdrug a few weeks ago, I couldnt imagine using this as a proper foundation its so weird! Haha 🙂 Ive got dry skin too so it really clung to my dry spots, a definite no for me!

Ive just made my own blog, its nothing big but if you could follow it Chyaz that would be amazing 🙂 you inspired me to make one after all haha xx
