Review: Blink + Go Eyeshadow and Blush Set

I will be the first person to admit that I have far too many eyeshadows – in my defence I haven’t personally bought most of them, but I still feel guilty nonetheless. A new item was added to my collection recently: the Blink + Go Eyeshadow and Blush Set in No.5.

The set contains 6 eyeshadows on the top layer:

As well as two blush shades and a little brush!

I have to admit that the general aesthetic of the set doesn’t exactly make me think of sophistication – it reminds me more of sets that little girls use when they’re playing dress up! I decided to try out the shades to see if they worked better than those sets from my childhood (I should hope so!!)

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the eyeshadows – whilst I’m not too sure about the colour scheme of the palette (pink and green?!) the shadows are nicely pigmented and very easily to blend. I really liked the finish of the shades – they had a hint of shimmer without looking tacky.

As for the blushes…I’m afraid it’s a bit of a different story! The lighter shade didn’t transfer to the skin well and didn’t make much of an impression on me. The darker colour was highly pigmented but just such an odd colour for a blush! I would certainly never wear it; it has these odd red tones that I couldn’t imagine being flattering on anyone.

The set retails for around £14.95, which I think is pricey for what it is. The eyeshadows are good quality but you don’t get that much of each shade. I probably wouldn’t buy this myself but would say to give it a go if you have a spare £15!

Stay Creative,
