I don’t know about you guys, but when I’m looking at a product I think it’s awesome to know certain things about it; one of the things I look out for is whether a product is cruelty-free.
About a year ago I decided to make more of a conscious effort to buy cruelty-free cosmetics – that’s why I was excited to receive the BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Her Majesty in my GlossyBox. It states that it is cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans!
I’m not a huge lover of mineral eyeshadows – I find they can be messy and prefer it if they are pressed – but loved the look of this colour as well as the name of it – Her Majesty!
The above photo shows some of the pigment simply pressed onto my hand. I’m not too sure that the pigmentation is great, and it is incredibly shimmery, but it could be fantastic for adding just a little bit of sparkle to an otherwise neutral look.
As you can see, the colour blends out to a very sheer finish. I sometimes like that in eyeshadows though; it means that the colour is buildable, and it did blend very easily even without a primer on my skin first.
The full size pots of the mineral eyeshadow retial for £7, which is a relatively mid-range price. I’m really interested to check out some of the other shades, possibly the smokier ones. Although this shade is lovely, it’s not the kind of colour I’d use regularly so the little pot will suit me well!
Have you tried any of the BM Beauty products? Are you a fan?
