A couple of days ago I posted my Nail of the Day look featuring the Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Razzle Dazzle. I’ve been wearing it for a good few days now and decided it was time to post my review!
The colour of the nail polish is like my heaven – black with gorgeous pink sparkles. I was really hoping that the pinks would show up well on the nails; some glitter polishes have a tendency to go quite dull once applied:
I was so glad that my nails looked super pink! This was after two coats; the first was a little lighter on the sparkle. I wasn’t a fan of how long the polish took to dry, but I’m used to the super fast OPI drying times so I probably can’t be too harsh on it in that respect.
So, how did it hold up on the nails?
It lasted about a day before chipping began to occur – here’s a photo showing the damage:
As you can see, the thumb and forefinger have started to chip at the tops which quickly happened to each of the other nails (one completely peeled off over the next couple of days and the thumb mostly chipped off too). This was also with a top coat.
My verdict? A lovely nail colour which looks gorgeous when first applied but chips too easily for the price: £14. I’ve read some other reviews of this which rave about it (it quite confused me!) so perhaps I have had a slightly worse experience than others. On the whole – I’d buy it if it was cheaper!
