I was quite intrigued to receive this little sachet in a recent GlossyBox; Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go lavendar Nail Lacquer Remover Finger Mitts (and breathe..) claim to remove nail polish from all 10 nails using just one little mitt!

This little sample contained one mitt:

I know what you’re thinking – “that little thing can remove 10 nails’ worth of polish?!” Well, that’s the claim…

I’m going to be blunt. It doesn’t work. Granted, after a lot of scrubbing I managed to remove my black glitter polish from 3 and a half nails. When I reached the fourth, I got so bored and frustrated trying to remove the polish that I threw it away, got out my trusty cotton wool and Superdrug nail polish remover and did the job in half the time.

The photo above shows one side of the mitt after removing the 3 and a half nails of polish. By that time, the mitt was drying out and the second side was useless:

Not only did it not do the promised job, but the fact I had to have a finger swimming in the chemicals which remove the polish made it start to ache – I know that sounds weird but it’s the only way to describe it! But that’s still not what really stings about this product…

Prepare yourselves for a complete shock.

One box – containing just six mitts – costs £14. I really wish I was joking. It actually makes me feel a bit sick!

I’m not one to trash products unnecessarily, but I have to be honest. Complete thumbs down!
