Nail of the Day: Peach Crackle

If you read my blog post from yesterday, you will have noted my goal of trying to leave my peach nails nice and plain for a while…within hours of writing that post, I’m afraid I failed!

I started off by painting my nails with the Barry M Nail Polish in Peach Melba:

As I mentioned, it didn’t take me long to get bored of my nails like this. I recently replaced my Barry M Black Crackle Nail Polish after the old one dried up completely. I usually use it over gold nail polish to create a leopard print effect, but really wanted to see what it would look like over Peach Melba.

I really, really like this look and I’m not sure why! I guess it’s the fact that the colours are so contrasting, but it’s actually renewed my love for crackle polishes a little. I did massively go off them but I might start being a tiny bit more experimental with them again after this.

How do you feel about crackle nail polishes now that the craze has had its day? Do you still wear them or avoid them like the plague?

Oh and I forgot, my first impression was that it looked like leopard print. 🙂

Hey Chyaz! Great look, but i normally put a clear top coat on top of that barry m crackle effect nail paint and it amkes the black loads more intense! =) x

Plain black crakle may be out, but I use bright colours with a clashing colour of crakle, or white with a bright coloured crakle. They go with anything! ox

Crackle nail polish is out of fashion now, and I haven’t even gotten the chance to get a bottle yet. Eh, who cares? I don’t follow trends anyway.

And you nails look really cool. The peach looks pretty when it’s plain, but edgy with the crackle polish on top.
