Review: Vivo Matte Eyeshadow in Slate

I’m still slowly working my way through the Vivo products I bought a few days ago, preparing reviews for you all! Today, it is the turn of the Vivo Matte Eyeshadow in Slate, which is Shade 2.

Vivo Matte Eyeshadow in Slate

I’m always on the lookout for a really bold black eyeshadow, as my favourite one (from the 120 pro palette) is fast running out. Could this £1.50 gem be a contender?

This swatch is of two layers of the eyeshadow – it look that much to get some bold coverage but at such a cheap price, it’s worth using a little more of the product to get the desired results. This was also quite blended, so that is important to take into consideration.

As you can see from this swatch on my finger, there is really no denying the quality of this shadow, not to mention value for money! I’m betting that this is just as pigmented and blendable as many, many high-end shadows (which is precisely why I rarely buy them!).

I love the fact that this eyeshadow is matte – so many black shadows tend to have sparkles in them, which is gorgeous most of the time but not  for every look or occasion. This is a winner for me!

So, this Vivo shadow gets a firm thumbs up – but what do you think? Have you tried any of the Vivo shadows? Which would you recommend?

Stay Creative,

That looks so pretty! 😀 I wish Vivo was sold in America. I use MAC’s Eyeshadow in Carbon and it’s pretty good, but not good enough in my opinion to justify the high price.
