Review: Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner

When Glossybox kindly started sending me a box each month, it took me a little while to be won over by the idea – what finally swung it for me was this particular item they included a couple of months ago. It is the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray.

I adore the look of the eyeliners – anything covered in stars is instantly in my good books! When I first opened the Glossybox, I couldn’t quite believe that there was a Stila eyeliner in it – neither could my friends!

Another thing that struck me about the eyeliner is the fact that it is retractable – one thing that annoys me so much is when an eyeliner pencil breaks off at the top and you don’t happen to have a sharpener around. It also eliminated those really irritating flakes of the pencil itself that can get into your eyes once you’ve sharpened.

All of the great things I thought about the eyeliner were from before I actually tried it…what did I make of the actual product itself? Well…it’s GORGEOUS! The application was so smooth and creamy; it is most definitely smudge-able, living up to its name. Something I think is awesome about it is that once it has ‘set’ on your eye, it really has set! It’s going nowhere, unless you want it to (i.e. when you try to remove it!)

The colour is simply divine too. It is a very dark, bold taupe colour with gold shimmers running all the way through – and I mean, all the way through! Stila certainly haven’t skimped on the gold, which is great to see.

I rarely say this about products I’ve been sent, but I think this is one I would actually buy myself. The colour is just stunning, and it works like a dream!

Have you tried this Stila Smudge Stick? What did you think of it?

Stay Creative,

I haven’t tried this brand, but I do use the glimmersticks eye liner from Avon. Those are retractable eye liners and I love them! I don’t even hardly use my regular pencil eye liner anymore.
