Review: Nails Inc Polish in Tate

I’m on a bit of a nail product review rampage this week – but there happens to be quite a few products I need to write about! Today, it is the turn of the Nails Inc polish in Tate – the same one featured in my recent Nail of the Day post.

This polish is, for me, one of the ultimate reds – it is sexy, rich and glossy, and does the job perfectly. When I first applied it, I was worried that the first coat looked a bit wishy-washy, but a second coat soon sorted that out.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I got this polish free with Glamour magazine a couple of months ago – to buy, Nails Inc polishes are expensive. I have found this one for sale online for around £11. I’m unsure whether I would have bought it at that price – as gorgeous as the colour is, it seems very expensive.

One thing I adore about Nails Inc polishes is the fact that they name them after British (mainly London) landmarks. The other Nails Inc polish that I own is in the shade Hampstead Heath – very cute!

Overall, I think that this Tate polish is gorgeous – it’s just a shame about the price. I will thoroughly enjoy using my freebie though! Thanks Glamour!

Do you think I’m being stingy about the price of these polishes? I’d love to know your thoughts!

Stay Creative,

I don’t think that’s stingy at all, £11 is ridiculous for a nail polish to me. :S

I think you’re being smart about the price, because they are expensive. I generally only pay $1-$4 for nail polish, and I find that some $1 brands can be just as good as more expensive ones. So if there is nothing extraordinay about the Nails Inc polish, it would make sense not to splurge on it.

Do not think you are stingy at all. Some of the cheapest brands do just as well of a job, or even better as the more expensive brands. Normally I will not pay more than $2 for nail polish but decided to spend a bit more on one. Disappointing would be good word to describe it. I reviewed it on my blog if anyone would like to check it out.
