Review: Sleek Face Contour Kit

I’m not very good at packing – this is a fact well-known by those closest to me. So when it came to packing for my boyfriend’s birthday trip, I naturally forgot quite a few things, including any make up products intended to contour or highlight.

I only wear foundation on occasions like nights out, and Tiz’s birthday included a trip to a gorgeous restaurant and casino. So whilst we were browsing around the Arndale Centre in Manchester before the night out began, I decided to look for an all-in-one replacement kit for my contouring and highlighting.

Sleek Face Contour Kit

This handy little kit from Sleek costs £6.50 – a really good deal in my opinion. High-end highlighters and contour products would cost double that on their own, so I was impressed with the price from the start!

I naturally chose the ‘Light’ version of the kit, due to having super pale skin. When I first opened the lid, I thought that both shades looked a little too dark for my skin. I used the kit over my Illamasqua Skin Base foundation:

Please excuse the dodgy photo and flash…but do look at the contouring! I used the highlight powder high on my cheek bones and the contour shade just underneath. I absolutely loved the finished effect! I was so glad that the contour powder didn’t end up looking too dark – on pale skin, it can give a really grubby effect if applied wrong.

I would highly recommend this product to fellow pale girls – I can’t speak for the other shades of kit, but ‘Light’ worked perfectly for me. In fact, I’ve even ditched my old contour shade for this one now – amazing!

Have you used the Sleek Face Contour Kit? What did you think?

Oh wow you did a great job of contouring here! I probably wouldnt buy this because I find contouring can be done with a range of blushes and highlighters, but for those who don’t own a range this is perfect!

I have been looking at this loads, but I was always put off because like you I have super pale skin and I was worried it would be too dark on me, but I might actually buy this next time I am in Superdrug :))
