Beauty Box brand Glossybox have kindly sent me samples over the last couple of months – overall I’ve been quite impressed, and one of the products sent to me was the Leighton Denny Nail Polish in Hanky Panky. It is a gorgeous deep coral/tangerine shade – not something I’d usually go for, but a welcome change.
I was looking through my nail polish collection deciding on what shade to wear leading up to Christmas, and this one jumped out at me for some reason (not literally, that would be slightly terrifying.) I decided to give it a whirl!
I used my Barry M Base Coat (I have a phobia of my nails staining since they’ve only just grown out from a nasty green tinge left from a previous painting) and two coats of the Leighton Denny Hanky Panky shade.
The coverage is very good – two coats was more than enough. Each coat took quite long to dry though, which would be a pain if you were in a rush. The overall effect is a little bit lumpy and bumpy, but with a gorgeous colour finish. It’s quite pearlescent, which is a nice change, but the brush strokes are quite apparent.
Nevertheless, I will be wearing this colour again for sure. I feel that it’s more of a summer shade, so I might stash it away until then.
Have you tried any Leighton Denny polishes? What did you think?
