I’m known amongst my friends for exaggerating pretty much everything, however, this is not the case here: I have had literally hundreds of requests from people on YouTube to do a ‘show and tell’ about my piercings. They’re not particularly extreme, but they do come to a total of 10, so I thought they warranted their own little blog post! I will explain what the piercings are, where they are and why I decided to get them.
This is my right ear – where the majority of my piercings are. As you can see, the first hole looks a littke droopy – that’s because I used to have it stretched to 7mm, and wore a silver tunnel for years. I decided to take it out about 2 years ago, because I wanted to be able to wear regular pairs of earrings. I had the first holes (on both ears) pierced when I was around 8 at a jewellers. The second and third holes on the lobe were done within perhaps a year of each other. The second holes were done at a hairdressing salon in my town, and the third at a tattoo parlour in Stockport. I was about 13 when I had the second holes, and 14 when I had the third. Then came the tragus piercing – the one in the little middle bit. I had this done when I was 15 in Afflecks Palace, Manchester. Honestly, it was the least painful piercing I had – my friend who came in with me was more scared than I was! I then had the double helix piercing, the two at the top, when I was around 16, again at Afflecks Palace. My plan was to have a spiral ring going through the two, but I could never find one that was the right size 🙁
My left ear is marginally less interesting, haha! I had all of these done as pairs, so at the same time as the corresponding one on my right ear. I’m not big fan of being symmetric, which is why I decided to stop at these on my left ear. So that’s a total of 9 so far…
And here is my final one! I planned to first get this belly button piercing when I was around 14, but as I did taekwondo (I did it for a total of 7 years) I didn’t think it was a good idea! So, one day when I was in Sixth Form, I decided to go and get it done in my lunch break at a tattoo parlour in my town. It didn’t hurt at all, and was over so quickly!
So there is a run-down of my piercings! I hope this has been informative for you all, and if you have any questions juts ask below 🙂
