Review: Benefit Eye Bright

I have been feeling hugely guilty about my lack of blogging over the past week or so (due to various reasons), and was having a dig through my make up bag looking for products to review for you all. I stumbled across an old favourite, and realised I hadn’t talked about it on my blog at all! It is the Benefit Eye Bright pencil.

Benefit Eye Bright Pencil

I actually got this free with a Benefit promotion a little while ago, and I’m not actually sure whether they still make it. It is in crayon form, similar to the Benefit BadGal Eyeliner, and is a gorgeous light pink shade.

The basic function of the pencil is that of a highlighter – it is designed to draw light to specific parts of your eyes and give them a brightened and lifted effect. The areas I most like to use it are:

  • Under the brow bone
  • In the inner corner of the eyelid
  • In the middle of the crease

Each area, when brightened, really helps to give your eyes that special glow.

My only criticism of the pencil is that is could do with being a little bit creamier and easier to blend. The pink tone might not suit certain skin types (I have to admit that I have highlight shadows that I prefer). I think the pencil retailed for around £15 when I first got it (although I was lucky enough to get it for free!).

Have you used the Benefit Eye Bright Pencil? What do you think of it?

I love how soft the pink is! Does is stay long?

I bought one when I saw you using it in a video and thought it’d be a good idea for my dark and tired eyes. Unfortunately, it does not blend well at all and on top of that I seem to have an allergy to Benefit products (you are right, BadGal Lash is the best mascara in the world, but it made my eyes itch like crazy). 🙁
