Marilyn Monroe Inspired Make Up Tutorial

Marilyn Monroe is one of the ultimate beauty icons of all time – which is why I couldn’t resist doing a make up tutorial inspired by her! I posted it on my YouTube channel yesterday:

I was super inspired by the poster of Marilyn I have in my room, and based my look on that poster. The products I used were:

  • MUA Primer
  • GOSH X-Ceptional Wear Foundation in 11 Porcelain
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Benefit High Beam
  • 120 Pro Palette
  • Stargazer White Eyeliner
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette
  • Hot Kandi Lashes
  • GOSH Beyond Real Mascara
  • Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Red Dynamite
  • Rockalily Rockette Red Lipstick
  • MAC Liquid Eyeliner

I primed my face with the MUA Primer, which is actually a really good product. I used my Sedona Lace Stippling brush and the foundation to create a gorgeous, airbrushed glow on my face. I then highlighted my cheekbones with the Benefit High Beam. For my brows, I used a medium brown powder to give them some definition.

Then on to the eyes; I primed with the Urban Decay Primer Potion and applied Virgin from the Naked Palette all over the lids. I then used a black shadow from the 120 Pro Palette to create the soft Marilyn ‘flick’. I topped the eyes off with false Hot Kandi lashes and my GOSH Beyond Real mascara.

For the lips, I used the Rimmel lipliner to define the shape and coated them in Rockalily’s Rockette Red – the perfect red lipstick! I used my MAC Liquid Eyeliner to create Marilyn’s beauty spot, and ta da!
