Review: Skin Art Temporary Tattoos

You might be a bit confused as to why I’m reviewing a set of temporary tattoos – “Chyaz, you’re not 7 years old!”. But, in my defence, the temporary tattoos in question are designed for adult and are celebrity-inspired. Am I forgiven?

They are the Skin Art Temporary Tattoos – “Celebrity-inspired temporary tattoos, for an a-list iconic look with zero commitment”

Skin Art Temporary Tattoos Packaging

Now, I love tattoos and always have, but I’m also indecisive and therefore the idea of temporary tattoos really appeals to me! As soon as saw this pack of 99 tattoos in Boots for £8, I really wanted to try them out – not least because the pack contained plenty of stars, bows and anchors!

Aren’t the designs gorgeous? I always love it when large designs are included in temporary tattoo packs; for example, I will cut those huge star designs up and use them individually!

Skin Art Temporary Tattoos Bow

I thought this bow looked SO cute, and wanted to try it out on my wrist. The application is standard; peel the backing off the tattoo, place it face-down on your skin, use a damp sponge to wet the paper and hold it on the tattoo for about a minute. Peel the paper off and ta da!

As you might have noticed, this is smaller than the one on the previous photo – I originally applied the larger bow but unfortunately it was super wonky and I had to remove it. I like how this bow looks on my wrist but I don’t love it – it’s quite shiny and the lines are very thin, which isn’t really my thing! Saying that though, the detail of it is lovely and it’s quite cute.

Skin Art Temporary Tattoos star

I’m a complete sucker for stars – the real tattoo I have is of a star on my hip. This one is teeny compared, and I just absolutely love it! The black is really intense and could easily look real. The camera has picked up quite a bit of shine, but in reality it’s quite matte and totally gorgeous!

I think £8 is quite expensive for the pack, but the designs are really cute, and there are 99 of them! I can see that I’m going to be a bit obsessed with ever-changing body art for a while…

Stay Creative,

Aww, these are so cute! I wouldn’t use them but £8 does seem really quite pricey. £6.50 would be better perhaps.

God I’m a sucker for temp tattoos – think it’s left over from my childhood ha-ha but these look fabulous. I adored the chanel inspired tattoos topshop had in over the summer – the swallows and rosary designs were just gorgeous. I love that cute little star!

If you like the idea of temporary body art, perhaps you could try henna? I just got a tube myself yesterday, going to experiment tonight…!

hey! i ahve a cool little tip for ya! if u want a temporary tattoo to last longer put some sort of oil free powder on it! it dries it up so that it wont just rub right off! i hope u like this =p
