Review: GOSH Beyond Real Length ‘n Volume Mascara

I’ve been very, very impressed with GOSH lately, and when I was last in Superdrug I spotted a highlighted section on their cosmetics stand which was featuring the new GOSH Beyond Real Length ‘n Volume Mascara in Black.Β It was on offer for Β£5.99 and, as I’m running out of my usual daily mascara, I thought I would give it a go!

On the GOSH stand, there was a display wand so that you could see just how fine and precise the brush is. I normally go for chunky brushes; I just find that they provide the most volume for your lashes. However, after trying the Benefit They’re Real mascara, I have warmed to the idea of a thinner, more dainty brush.

One of the first things I liked about the mascara is how truly black it looks – I hate buying a black mascara to find that the colour is less than intense – there’s sometimes even a hint of brown in there. This is a true, deep black.

As always when reviewing a mascara, I took two photos – I applied the mascara to one eye and photographed that, then to compare I took a photo of my other ‘naked’ eye!

How bare does it look?!

Now, here are my lashes with a good coating of the Beyond Real Mascara:

What do you think? I’m very impressed – it does exactly what it says on the tube. My lashes are longer than when I use my usual mascara – they’re not quick as ‘thick’ looking, but there is still definite volume there. I wouldn’t say they’re ‘beyond real’ – they still look like my lashes, only so much better. Again, I love the intensity of the black colour on the lashes; it really helps to make them look fuller and thicker.

I really think I’m going to enjoy using this mascara – it’s very reasonably priced (even at its full price it’s only around Β£7) and makes the lashes look gorgeous. I officially love the GOSH lip products, now I can say that I absolutely love their mascara too!

Have you tried this mascara? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!

I get sent a lot of them, but I bought this as a new ‘everyday’ mascara to replace the Benefit BadGal one I ran out of πŸ™‚

Wow wow wow your eyelashes look amazing!
And for the above commentor, can a girl ever have too many mascaras? Chyaz is doing her readers a favour by reviewing them all, she may not need them but the reviews are valuable to her readers. i’d say it shows commitment, if anything.

Chyaz that mascara looks amazing! Might have to pop in and buy myself a tube of it! It makes your lashes look really long, and not in a chunky-stuck-together kind of way!

You should also try GOSH Amaze’n’ length mascara too. Its unscented and it gives that amazing false lash effect thats enough to rival Mac’s haute and naughty mascara πŸ˜€

Nice mascara. It’s too much for my personal taste, but it looks great on you! I prefer a mascara that looks totally natural and just makes them black and a bit longer and fuller. If I told someone that I wasn’t wearing mascara, the goal is for them not to roll their eyes and say I fail at a joke.
