I have to pre-warn you; when I say ‘Mini Haul’, I do mean mini, to the tune of 3 items! Nevertheless, 3 items from TopShop is 2 more than I usually buy (I buy most of my jeans from TopShop, but little else) so it’s still a change from the norm!
I feel that I’ve been hugely neglecting the ‘fashion’ strand of my blog lately – beauty has taken over! I also know I’ve been writing a lot of reviews, so this is something a little different – a little breath of fashion fresh air!
I went into TopShop with the girls (the collective name for my housemates and wonderful friends!) and they were as stunned as I was that I actually ended up buying anything! I just had a sudden spurt of TopShop love and picked up three great items.
1. Faux Leather Panel Leggings – £28
I apologise that I’m not actually wearing the leggings in the photo, but I fail in a big way when it comes to taking photos of myself full-length! As you can see, the leggings are the usual black material (though thicker than normal) with faux leather panels down the sides. I was a bit worried that they would look like jodhpurs (my pet hate) but when I tried them on I was pleasantly surprised and knew I had to get them. I thought that £28 was a bit pricey for leggings, but when I thought about it I knew that they would last much longer than standard ones and gave in. I’m so glad I did!
2. Jimi Hendrix Tea and Cake Vest – £22
I’ve been a fan of Jimi Hendrix’s guitar skills for as long as I can remember, so thought that this vest was a great investment! It’s by the designer Tee and Cake (which is sold in TopShop) and was expensive for a vest – £22 – but looks very cool on and was well worth it. I love the very dark grey colour of the material, and the grunge feel to it – one of my favourite styles of all time. This has, coincidentally, been absolutely perfect for the weird hot October weather we’ve been having, and I’ve worn it on more than one of those scorching days!
I also think the label is super cute, don’t you?
3. Plain White Long Vest – £14
Now, before you freak out (£14 for a vest top?!) let me explain my reasons for making such an odd investment. Even though I’m only 5’3, I have little legs and a longer torso, so it’s hard for me to find good vest tops to wear with leggings. If the top doesn’t cover my bum when I’ve got leggings on I feel really uncomfortable and on-show, so it’s vital for me! My lovely friend Hannah introduced me to these vests from TopShop – they’re slightly thicker than usual and super duper long, so they’re just perfect! I’m so glad I spent the money on it and I know I’ll repurchase in the future. The best I’ve worn! And, because of the material they’re made of, they really suck you in and slimline your figure.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my little TopShop haul! Do you like these kinds of posts? Want to see more in the future? Let me know!
