It seems strange to me to only just be reviewing something I have been using for well over 2 years, but I guess that the time span can only make my review more detailed! I’m going to be talking about the absolutely revolutionary Tangle Teezer – if you think it’s just a hairbrush, I hope to change your mind by the end of this post!
If you haven’t seen the Tangle Teezer before (they’ve become much more popular in the last year or so, but when I first had it no one knew what I was going on about!) I know you’re probably thinking it looks like some kind of animal grooming device – that’s exactly what I thought too! It is described on the website as a “professional detangling hairbrush”. Let’s have a look at the brush part itself…
Like I said, I bought my Tangle Teezer over two years ago from my boyfriend’s dad’s salon (for around £10). From the first time I used it I was hooked – now I’m no scientist, but I know that there’s some pretty technical things going on when it comes to the design of this brush. How well does it work? Let me show you!
I started off with just-washed hair, fresh out of the towel. I didn’t touch it or try to arrange it in any way – I just hopped in front of the camera and took this photo in all my hideous glory:
I took my Tangle Teezer and got to work on my hair. I actually timed how long it took to achieve the look below – under 2 minutes. With a normal hairbrush, it would have taken me nearer to 10!
Can you believe the difference? I would just like to say at this point that this review is entirely independent; Tangle Teezer have not asked me to write this post nor do they know I am doing so. I just believe that when a product is truly this amazing, it deserves to be raved about!
Something I really, really love about the Tangle Teezer is that it doesn’t tug at your hair and cause you pain – it just makes the entire process of combing your hair through an easier and more enjoyable experience! If you have thick hair like me, you’ll know how much of a (sometimes painful) chore it can be to comb wet hair – but not any more!
Even after a couple of years, my Tangle Teezer is in great condition (which is a miracle considering what a mane my hair can be to get through!) It it truly worth every penny I spent on it and I would recommend it to anyone.
You can visit the Tangle Teezer website HERE – mine is the Original Tangle Teezer in Cosmic Black (I don’t even think the pink one was available back then!)
